Dental Assisting Associate in Applied Science-Dental Hygiene Track
What Follows is the Program Outline
This program is not designed for students transferring to other colleges or universities. As a rule, courses with a second digit "0" are designed to transfer. Students planning to transfer should consult a Counselor to verify the transferability of courses. Prerequisites for courses are noted in the IVCC Catalog. Program Pre-Admission Information is included if applicable.
This set of courses is designed for those planning to pursue a Dental Hygiene Associate in Applied Science. Although CHM 1004 is not a required course for graduation, it is required for graduation from the Dental Hygiene Program. If you do not plan on pursuing the Dental Hygiene Track, please see our Dental Assisting Associate in Applied Science, non Dental Hygiene Track.

All students will be required to have a criminal background check and a 10-panel urine drug screen prior to starting the program.
To enroll in any DLA course, students must hold a current Healthcare provider CPR/BLS card. A grade of "C" or better is required in all DLA coursework in order to graduate. (Admission to Hygiene requires C or better in ALL coursework including General Education). PLEASE NOTE: This is a limited admission program that requires a separate application process that can be found at: www.IVCC.edu/dental.
