GDT 1201 Introduction To Page Layout
In this class students will produce a variety of single-page and multi-page documents. They will learn to set and format type, work with paragraph styles, import images from Illustrator and Photoshop, define and apply color, apply graphic effects, create PDF's and package files for printing. Please note: students must have previous experience working on a Mac or PC platform. Prerequisite: The student should know how to use the mouse to point and click, and how to drag items around the screen. The student should know how to resize a window, and how to arrange windows on the desktop to maximize the space available. The student should know how to access pull-down menus and how check boxes work. Lastly, the student should know how to create, open and save files. Experience on either platform (Mac or PC) is required.
