NUR 2200 Management Concepts in Nursing

This course introduces the Associate Degree nursing student to the basic knowledge related to managing client care as required by the profession of Nursing. Key concepts to be included are: leadership, client care management, time management, health care, economics, supervision, delegation, conflict resolution, quality and safety in nursing, and transition from student to professional practice. Prerequisite: NUR 1201, NUR 1202, NUR 1210, NUR 1211; BIO 1007, BIO 1008, BIO 1009, ALH 1002, ALH 1000, PSY 1000. Concurrent enrollment in or completion of ENG 1001, SOC 1000; or licensure as a Registered Nurse.
