GDT 1205 Introduction To Social Media Marketing

This class is intended for professionals in marketing, web design and development, graphic design, journalism, visual communications, customer service, and others who want to understand and implement social media more effectively. It is also aimed to help businesses set up and run profitable social media campaigns. This is an introduction to the social web and current, popular tools and topics. While an individual's interests in and goals for using social media will be varied and perhaps specific this class will provide the student with a working knowledge of the tools and address questions, concerns, and possible misconceptions of their use in the everyday workplace. Lecture: one hour per week.
