DLA 1205 Preventative Dentistry I
This course includes discussion on the causes and treatments of dental caries and periodontal disease with emphasis on diet, nutrition, proper home care, preventative agents, and the dental assistant's role in prevention. Personal oral health is stressed and students will prepare and present programs to patients regarding personal oral hygiene.
