Computer Accounts

Your K-Number (located on your IVCC student ID card):

  • is your username for WebAdvisor, Blackboard and the IVCC network.
  • is the first part of your student email address.
  • Your email address will be k-number@ivcc.edu.

Your 7-digit student ID number (the purple numbers on your IVCC student ID cards):

  • is used to identify you and should be protected in the same manner as your social security number or credit card.
  • is used as a default password for campus accounts. (Be sure you change this default password after your initial login to keep your information secure.)

Please note: All students are responsible for checking their IVCC email. All electronic college correspondence will only be sent to the IVCC email. For information on accessing this account, go to https://www.ivcc.edu/email.

IVCC Student ID Number

The number printed on your IVCC student ID card will permit you access to the online resources available through the library. The Student ID number contains your 7-digit student ID number. Your 7-digit student ID number is also located on your class schedule and billing statements. For more information, go to www.ivcc.edu/studenthelpdesk.

Account Passwords

You are strongly encouraged to change your password as soon as you log into each system. For your security, passwords should contain both numbers and letters, both uppercase and lowercase. Password Resets

The only remedy for a forgotten password is a reset. WebAdvisor has a password reset option, and this is the only way to have your WebAdvisor password reset. For other systems, you can call, email or visit the Student Help Desk for assistance. Students are required to provide their name, K-number, and 7-digit student ID number when requesting a password reset. For more information, go to www.ivcc.edu/studenthelpdesk.

Accessing Online Accounts

Quick access to all accounts is provided on the IVCC home page or by using I am a/an... on the IVCC home page. For more information, go to www.ivcc.edu/studenthelpdesk

IVCC WebAdvisor Account

Through your WebAdvisor Account, you can access your student records, such as final grades, class schedules, etc. You can also view semester course schedules and register for classes. Your WebAdvisor account is created the next business day upon application to IVCC. From the IVCC homepage, select WebAdvisor and click the "Set Up Your Account" link.

Students will be required to update and verify their demographic information every six months on WebAdvisor. This will be required before a student can access registration and other information on WebAdvisor. For more information, go to www.ivcc.edu/studenthelpdesk

IVCC Email Account

Your email account is created the next business day upon application to IVCC. The various IVCC departments and your instructors may send important information to you through your IVCC student email account. Your email login will also be used to gain access to the Library's online resources. You are responsible for regularly checking your student email account. IVCC Network Account

Logging onto computers at IVCC requires an IVCC Network Account. Accounts are created the next business day after we have received your application. For more information, go to www.ivcc.edu/studenthelpdesk.

Blackboard

Some instructors will use an electronic classroom environment called Blackboard. Blackboard accounts are created the next business day after registering. For more information, go to www.ivcc.edu/studenthelpdesk.
