What Follows is the Program Outline.
This program is not designed for students transferring to other colleges or universities. As a rule, courses with a second digit "0" are designed to transfer. Students planning to transfer should consult a Counselor to verify the transferability of courses. Prerequisites for courses are noted in the IVCC Catalog. Program Pre-Admission Information is included if applicable.

All MEDT courses are available online through Kankakee Community College: http://kcc.smartcatalogiq.com/2020-21/Academic-Catalog/ Programs-of-Study-by-Area/Health-Careers/Medical-Laboratory-Technology-AAS/Copy-of-Medical-Laboratory-Technology-AAS Each Med Lab course requires a full day of attendance every other week at the Kankakee Community College Campus.
Students in the past who have a 2.5 minimum cumulative GPA and completed BIO 1003 or BIO 1200 and CHM 1006 have had a very good chance for admission. Students must either test out of or take MTH 0910 for admission to the program. Kankakee Community College may request a copy of test scores or ACT (22) or SAT (530) for admission. Test scores expire after 2 years. A mandatory orientation at KCC and an A2 Hesi exam are required. All BIO & MEDT courses must be completed with a "C" or better.
